Paperback Verified download. To me it is just another over priced college text book. It does cover topics I am interested in, but I think it lacks in establishing some fundamentals and basics.

It might be a reference for someone with more experience but they did a terrible job listing items in the index, and I have trouble finding subjects I'm looking for information on quickly. There diagrams are not consistent in labeling currents, which is a problem. I do not always know if a value is not shown because it does not exist, or because they forgot to add it. They also are not consistent in charts and labeling types and characteristics of power devices, which leaves me asking, why?

Intentional, space saving, forgot? I hope there is a better book out there, because this one leaves a lot to be desired. I downloadd this book as a required text for a class I am taking.

Overall, the material presented in the book is pretty good and clearly communicated. There are many examples to review and practice problems. One complaint is that there are many errors in the example problems and equations.

Some exponents are missing or equations written differently on different pages.

I would expect these bugs to be worked out long before the 3rd edition.Power electronics: AC Voltage Controllers.
